It is possible to arrive at the station of the Tarnone crossing the bridges of the " Belgia " and a series of tunnels. As in the 19th century the station has two tracks : one to permit the loading and the unloading of the blocks and the other to let the train run towards the basin of Fantiscritti. The buildings of the station have been remade on the base of plans of the period and of what can still be seen on the place. In particular the station of the Tarnone has been recently restructured and can be visited by the tourist who goes towards Colonnata or the basin of Fantiscritti by car. The blocks of marble and the railbed have been obtained using marble dust and small fragments of the original mineral. |
